Riley Ramirez is an intern at Civil Eats, supported by the UC Berkeley 11th Hour Food and Farming Journalism Fellowship. She writes about climate and the environment with a focus on policy, environmental justice and sustainability. Her stories have been featured in Richmond Confidential, Richmondside, KPBS, Bay City News and Bay Nature. Originally from Southern California, Riley is currently living in the Bay Area while she completes her master’s degree in journalism from the University of California, Berkeley.
